After the recent success of the NSFA Youth Coach Development piloted with North Sydney United FC, the NSFA are pleased to announce that we will be running another program during the January school holidays for any aspiring young coaches from within the NSFA community.
The January Youth Coach Development Program will be run over three days during January, including Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th January between 9am – 3pm each day. The course will be run centrally at Charles Bean Oval, Lindfield utilising both the inside and outdoor field space.
The YCDP is open to young NSFA members between the ages of 16 - 22 years old, completely FREE OF CHARGE (born 2002 - 1997) and intends to prepare young coaches for the 2018 season along with developing key life skills such as their ability to:
Present in front of people
Communicate effectively and efficiently
Problem solve in real-time
Manage a group of players
Identify safety aspects
Work within a group
At the conclusion of the program, all participants will receive the FFA Skill Training Certificate, along with being prepared to coach within their local NSFA club in 2018.
The aim of the YCDP is to give young members of our NSFA community the opportunity to develop life skills and become involved in giving back to their club and community through coaching.
